THIS STILL COUNTS AS A BIRTHDAY REVIEW! (You have birthday week, right?) Not sure why I'm doing this to myself because I love Sirius and this looks a little dark, but I've never had much self control so here I am. Nooo so sad! This breaks my heart! How are you so good at giving me feels through your writing? The thoughts Sirius had about Harry are the parts I loved (and hated) the most; that hurt is just so tangible so the future he's lost is so heartbreaking! And oh those thoughts he had about Pettigrew, how betrayed they all were :( Gorgeous work from you again Amy, I hope the day after your birthday is treating you well! :D ♥ Bianca

Hufflepuff House Cup 2015 Review

I don't know what it is, but I've got a kind of weird thing for Sirius in Azkaban stories. Maybe it's that he changes so much over those years, and also he is in such an extreme setting.

I liked that you were very specific about the way that the screams of Azkaban tortured Sirius. A lot of writers seem to skim over the fact that he is being mentally tortured by being in Azkaban, as they have the scapegoat of his dog form. However, I think that what you do here is much more believable.

My suggestion would actually be to put some of that information towards the beginning of the story. What we see at the start of the narration as it is is Sirius being very composed and logical. I think it would really help to set up right away the tortured nature of his existence in Azkaban.

Sam.
