Hey there!

I'm here for a review for the Magical Menagerie review event on the forums and also for the Gryffindor Red vs Gold Review Battle for January! I happened across this lovely little story in my search for something to read and it sounded interesting, so here I am.

This is an interesting concept, the bring a muggle to school day. I imagine it would be terrifying for any muggles that got accidentally dragged along to Hogwarts. Could you imagine wandering down the street, being suddenly kidnapped, and then being thrust into a world full of unexplained magic? Yeah, frightening stuff.

I thought this was a well-executed parody. Clearly, in canon, Fred and George would've been smart enough to understand that this was very much against the rules in wizarding society. They'd also have understood why this would've been a touchy subject as it sort of mirrors the muggle-baiting we see in the beginning of the Harry Potter series.

I thought McGonagall finding them at the end was pretty funny. I can just imagine how furious and put out she'd be if this had really happened. There would be so much explaining, paperwork, and detention involved.

Your OC was interesting as well. I like that we never really learn much about her, but she's just naturally a good friend of Fred and George's. So much so, in fact, that they inherently trust her claims of Bring a Muggle To School Day without questioning her. Normally, that would drive me a bit nutty, but since this is meant to be a parody, I think it's quite fitting.

Good work on this! I definitely had a good laugh while reading.

Author's Response:

Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by! I love this story and was super excited to write it when I received the prompt for this challenge. I think being a muggle in this situation would definitely be terrifying, especially in our day and age. But this is a parody so it is meant to be taken lightly and with a grain of salt. Obviously this would not work out well in canon which is why I decided to make it a parody in the first place. Also, Fred and George were a pairing I was afraid to conquer when I first began writing this and I thought the best option to keep itlight and funny would be if it was an unlikely scenario like this.

I love the ending with McGonagall. It still cracks me up when I reread my own story. She was always going to be apart of the story because in my mind you can't have Fred and George without their favorite professor. I'm glad my OC is interesting as well as I don't give a lot of information about her. She's just this nutty girl you're immediately introduced to and is best friends with Fred and George. I would like to write more of her one day but I'm not sure if I'm ever going to get around to it...

Thanks so much for the kind review!

Hey Nix!! I'm finally here for your Hot Seat review for October!! (Sorry for being a tad bit late)

I am so happy that I had a chance to revisit this story again this month for Featured Fics, and I was thrilled when it won best LOL Moment in the My Father Will Hear About These Awards!!! This little one-shot was absolutely PERFECT!! I love the idea of Bring A Muggle to School Day, lol!! And of course Fred & George went along with it, haha!! That was so in character for them, and totally believable as well. I really like the way you wrote the Twins in this. They were perfect!! ♥️♥️♥️

My only CC is that I wish it was longer, lol!! I want to know more about what happened to them after they were busted. And what ever become of those poor dear Muggles that they captured? =P

Honestly. I wish a wizard would come and kidnap ME for this Bring a Muggle to School day event. I would LOVE to go to Hogwarts, haha!!! =D

Here for our swap! :D

Okay, so... this was absolutely crazy! :P And hilarious! How did you even come up with it?

Of course, Melina... who hasn't heard of the "Bring a Muggle to School" day? :P Where did she get the idea? How did Fred and George even believe her?

Everything about this story was just absurd and I absolutely loved it! I loved how you included the part about Love Potion Number 9, too! :P And the poor Muggles... all of their reactions was just wonderful! And I loved how Fred and George were all the time like Mmmh... this sounds like such a bad idea... whatever, let's do this anyway! Ahahah! Too funny! :P

And of course McGonagall would catch them! Because who else could catch them? She's so going to kill them! I love it! :P

In case you couldn't tell, I had so much fun reading this story! I love humour and this kind of nonsensical things just crack me up! Thank you so much for the swap, it was just lovely!

Much love,

Author's Response:

Aw, thank you so much for the lovely review! I wrote this basically to be a funny, 'what if' kind of story that was completely irrational and went against everything I know about HP and the wizarding world. Obviously nothing like this would happen in a serious story, but it was meant to be fun kind of parody and I'm glad that you got that.

I really don't know where Melina got the idea from, but it was so much fun create her character and write this story. Fred and George clearly aren't the brightest in this one-shot or else that would have ruined the whole thing. This was also my first time writing them and I had a lot of fun doing it. I'm so glad you enjoyed it and thanks so much for doing the swap with me!

What a fun story! I don't for one minute believe that the twins would be naive enough to think it was real; on the other hand they wouldn't care!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! Yes, it’s supposed to be a fun parody of sorts. In no way do I think the twins in canon would do this. But it was a lot of fun writing them in this way.
