Story:Hanukkah is Over Chapter: Hanukkah is Over

Oh, omg. This awful moment. It was at this moment I knew that Martin Addison was a piece of trash. Not, like, irredeemable or anything, but still a good, hefty piece of trash. I really like the point of view that you chose to write this one-shot in. (You always fill in the blanks so nicely hehe, I can always count on you to tell the rest of the story in the best way possible.)

Leah was probably one of the more complex characters in the book. She had personal self-esteem issues regarding her weight, she had feelings for Nick who didn’t like her back, and if I understood the tweets about Leah’s book correctly (I haven’t read it yet), she’s also bi and had feelings for Abby at some point. And sometimes she lets her jealousy get the better of her, but she’ll always be there to support Simon in times like this. Which is why I really appreciate you writing this from her point of view, because I feel like sometimes people forget that. <3

You wrote the failed attempt to inform Simon of the tumblr post really well haha. I was smiling, even though the situation surrounding it was pretty depressing. This line – “He speaks,” Leah said dryly. – made me laugh so much! It was perfectly timed. Also, Leah’s attempts to text Simon about slashing the person’s tires? That was sweet. Albeit somewhat violent.

I also really liked that brief conversation between Leah and Abby at the end. And…is that a blush from Leah? *wink wink*

Wonderful as always. <3

Love,

Eva
