Hello! Here for our swap!
I was really curious about this, I’ve never read stories about necromancy before.
I enjoyed to get a glimpse of the Golden trio's adult lives, especially Harry's job as an Auror. I actually found interesting, even if a bit strange, the fact that they used Muggle technology in their work (I know it's something you wouldn't have done in your more mature writing, but I liked it, even if I did wonder what would they use a gun for). I found interesting that they used fake MI5 identities for their investigations, too.
I really enjoyed the mistery aspect of the story and all the investigative process, I think you did a really good job with it. I also really liked little George Krupp, you probably know that I love children and I think you did a nice work in showing how he didn't exactly realize what he was doing and probably couldn't completely control his powers. I really liked his characterization, even if you didn't spend too much time on it.
The relations between Muggles and wizards was another aspect that I thought was quite interesting in this. It's really awful the idea that someone could kill his own children because they were magical and the resurrected version of him was just as creepy.
This was an interesting read and even if it isn't your most recent work and a few things didn't make complete sense I think it had many interesting aspects to it and I really enjoyed reading.
Thank you for another swap!
Lots of love,
Ah, this story. I love George Krupp, and have written a few other stories with him, currently working on Bodies at Rest, with him being fostered to the Weasleys and going to Hogwarts and his issues there. I'm a bit stalled on it right now, but I will come back to it eventually.
Yeah, the technology and guns would be very different if I wrote it now, and Hermione in particular would not be so flippant. She was very badly OoC here.
Glad you liked the investigation, as I actually DO like this part of my story. I definitely picture Harry having an MI-5 identity, since he can pass as Muggle and it's a good way to let the Wizard authorities snag MI-5 cases that could break the Statute of Secrecy.
Thank you so much for this review, sorry it took me a few days to answer it.
George has a lot of coming of age to do still yet.
