Just dropping by to leave you a bit of review love! I don’t know how or why I haven’t read this story yet, but here I am! Also, I noticed that I’m running out of stories of yours to read, so maybe write some more? Pretty please.
This was a really sweet story. With how dark your writing usually is, I kept waiting for the shoe to drop, but I’m glad it didn’t. I like that they all had just a nice moment as friends. You showed their group dynamics really well.
of course Sirius would worry about his beautiful face!
I love that James got frantic and tripped over his own broom. No one will ever let him live that one down. I’m kind of imagining Remus and Sirius telling Harry this story as they roar with laughter!
Hi Kaitlin! This story was for the House Cup in, I think, 2015, so it was never on my AP at HPFF - that's probably why you hadn't read it :)
Ahaha! My angsty proclivities just hanging over your head while you read. Nah, apparently I'm occassionally capable of fluff ;)
I'm glad you enjoyed reading this! Thanks for the review!
I love how this starts out with just a touch of mystery--Sirius was playing your typical Quidditch game and is suddenly in the hospital with, given his extreme sensitivity to light, a possible head injury. Of course, contextually, the audience can gather what happened, but it's fun to watch Sirius try to figure it out. What I love even more, of course, is the fact that he is certain that he didn't miss the bludger because that would have been hella embarrassing, nevermind the state of his head. Then, once Remus tells him that the charm wore off the bludger and it smashed his club (and then his face), which clears him of any and all 'embarrassment' he's so concerned over the whether or not Gryffindor won the Quidditch match which his hilarious. The kicker, of course, is when we find out that James is also in the hospital wing because he'd been in such a hurry to get to Sirius that he concussed himself. I'm dying. This is hysterical. Also, Sirius and Remus are adorable in this!
Hi again Rumpel!
Humour writing is really not something I'm confident in at all, so I'm glad that what I was aiming for came through here and that you found it funny! Thanks for the lovely review and thanks for reading!
Hello my lovely Pop Punk, Po Punk, Edgar Allen Padfoot! I'm here because you sogned up for the body positive challenge and also because I can't believe this doesn't have any reviews! Or at least transferred reviews, sheesh!
Wolfstar has recently made it onto my OTP so I had to come poke it, you see. They're so friggin' adorable and the idea of them together opens up whole new explanations for the transition between OotP and HBP for me.
This is an adorable little piece. Do you write fluffy humor like this often? I love, love, love that Remus is right there next to him as soon as he wakes up and how worried that he was. And of course, Sirius is worried about his 'beautiful' face after waking up from a friggin' bludger to the face. I don't think I could stomach being a beater, though that's usually my preferred position when writing my characters...
You know, it's stories like this that remind me of the meme that goes around of things you do and don't need a guardian's permission to do at Hogwarts and quidditch should REALLY be one of the things your parents sign off on.
I absolutely love that James gave himself a concussion. Sirius shouldn't hold it over his head forever, though! He did it out of LOVE for his BEST FRIEND! But it's still really friggin' funny! XD Bloody quidditch players indeed!
This probably doesn't have any reviews because it was written for a House Cup (I think the 2015 one) back on HPFF, so it wasn't on my account there and people wouldn't really think to transfer reviews. Also, because of that, I don't think most people are aware of it because I never really promoted it or anything. So that would probably explain the lack of reviews ahahaha.
I definitely don't write fluffy humour often. This is one of a handful of fluffy humour pieces I've written, ever. I think I can count them on one hand! My specialty is angsty stuff for sure. But I'm really glad you enjoyed this! I admit that I'm really happy with how it turned out :D And yes! They should definitely need permission to play Quidditch, haha. I doubt that would work out well in Harry or Sirius's favour though, so for the sake of this story, it's very good that they don't.
Thanks for the lovely review!
