Gellerd Grindelwald, the second darkest wizard of all time. How did he learn of the Deathly Hallows? How did he rise to power? How was Albus Dumbledore able to defeat him? And why, at the end of his life, did he try to protect the one who had locked him away?
A second later, the fire released him into light. In front of him, a village, and standing before it with wand raised, laughing as it burned, a man. The sky was streaked with orange and purple, the last remnants of day. The man turned slowly, and piercing blue eyes met for the first time since that night in Godric's Hollow. So many years had passed, but each recognised the other in an instant.
Could you write a Gellert Grindelwald Broadway Songifc, you ask?

Language shapes the world, for good or for evil. In silence, wounds fester and arguments begin. And what are wars but arguments out of control?

Wings arc from your body as you begin to soar, rising and curving towards the sun as it filters down towards you through the ink-blue sky.
Water fills your lungs in a steady drip, drip, drip, and you are drowning instead.
"It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends,” Albus Dumbledore once said. He, more than anyone, knew the truth of that.

That summer was your fairytale, Albus, your flight from reality.

History is written by the victors, to their specifications. Not all of history fits within them.
These are those parts which do not.
Let me not then die ingloriously and without a struggle, but let me first do some great thing that shall be told among men hereafter.

He has to surrender, Dumbledore thought to himself. The last thing Dumbledore wanted to do was duel Grindelwald himself, but there were lives at stake and he was the only one with the power to stop him. For too long he had put off the inevitable, hoping constantly that someone else would step up and do what he had been too afraid to do. Now, however, he realised how foolish he had been to put old feelings first and allow them to cloud his judgement.
Based on 'Ten Duel Commandments' from the musical 'Hamilton'.

For the greater good, that's what they said. They say that I won't have to hide away from the world anymore, that I would be safe and accepted. They don't seem to understand that I'm dangerous, I will never be accepted by people. I need to be kept hidden to protect people, so that I don't hurt them - hurt them like I hurt mum.
